Documentary: Picturing Maricopa 2010 - International Rescue Committee
Loren Anderson was chosen to be one of 15 photographers by the Virginia G. Piper Trust for Picturing Maricopa 2010. Each photographer is assigned a local nonprofit to follow over a designated period of time documenting the essence of their mission.
In 2009, the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust introduced Picturing Maricopa to offer the services of 15 talented photographers to 15 nonprofit organizations, which gain usage rights to the photographs.
Anderson was assigned the International Rescue Committee which provides opportunities for refugees to rebuild their lives and thrive in America.
Here are just a few of the nearly 500 images photographed by Anderson for the Project.
